Commission Portraits

The portrait procedure begins with an e-mail or phone call. We discuss your wishes and goals for the portrait as well as set up time. I usually begin with a series of photographs. The location is usually at the clients home or an agreed upon place that works toward our goal for the portrait. It should be a place of comfort for the subject.

I normally review the photos and narrow them down to a few for final selection with the client. On occasion I may work from multiple photos to get the desired composition. I usually meet with the client again to go over our final decision on the portrait.

The portrait may take up to twelve weeks depending on workload and complexity of the painting.



PORTRAIT FEES

Head and Shoulders $650
Full-length $1000
Pets $450



Each additional subject --- add 75%.
Travel expenses, lodging, framing, shipping and any applicable taxes are extra.

A 1/3 deposit is due at the photography session. The balance is due when the portrait is delivered.
